EVENTS AND FESTIVALS
We regularly perform, produce installations and deliver workshop sessions at festivals and other events. Whether it be a show featuring puppetry for families or adult audiences, a series of workshop sessions making lanterns and giant carnival creations to support a celebration, or a team building event for your organisation, please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.
‘The Gigantic Jersey’ commissioned for Scarborough’s hosting of the Tour de Yorkshire in 2017. The jersey toured schools, public and community venues across the borough, engaging with over 2,500 participants who made their mark upon it prior to display next to the race finish.
‘Moonlight and Song’ - an annual event run by Animated Objects in Peasholm Park, Scarborough, with community singing and lantern parades to celebrate the festive season.
Whitby Lantern Parade, as part of Whitby Christmas Festival 2016. Animated Objects are currently working with the local community towards this year’s event.
‘Flotsam and Jetsam’ - walkabouts for festivals and events with a nautical theme.
‘Shadowplay’ - an interactive shadow puppetry installation for Coastival 2013, in which visitors could immerse themselves in the world of shadows and perform alongside giant characters.
‘Sporting Giants’ - an event run by Animated Objects for the City of York Council, a two year project culminating in a live celebration involving over 35 giant sporting puppets and 1,200 children to welcome the Londons 2012 Olympic Torch Relay to the city. This project was awarded the London 2012 Inspire Mark for its engagement with over 5,000 people across the city.
