Armed Forces Day National Event Scarborough 2020

Animated Objects have been commissioned by Scarborough Borough Council to deliver a wide ranging series of community activities in the lead up to the Armed Forces Day National Event, Scarborough in June 2020.

We will be running a number of different activities over the coming months, for participants of all ages. You don't need any prior experience, and there's all sorts of ways to get involved. You'll be guaranteed a warm welcome!

Below you'll find a list of our public drop in sessions. You can come along for 20 minutes, or spend an hour or two with us, helping to make giant sculptures or objects to support the spectacular children's parade event that we're planning for June 2020. Each session has a main focus as listed, but there'll be lots of different things being made alongside it - there's plenty to do!

We've spread out the sessions across different venues and times, to give you some flexibility. We're also aiming to make this one of the most eco-friendly sculpture trail and parade events in the country, with over 95% of the materials we're using being either biodegradable or recyclable.

Be aware that we will be using a number of different materials in these sessions, some of which are a little messy, but that's all part of the fun!

Looking forward to seeing you at the workshops.
